Congratulation's to all the teams that participated in the 2011 Kiwanis Basketball Tournament. Thank you for all who came out and supported the players, staff's and School's. Both the San Bernardino and Highland Kiwanis clubs wish you a Happy New Year in 2012. We hope to see you next year. Blessing's! Tournament Champion: Las Vegas Centennial Thanks again to all that attended the tournament and making this years event a success! The Kiwanis Club of San Bernardino, together with the Kiwanis Club of Highland, Inc., is sponsoring the 54th Annual Interscholastic Basketball Tournament from December 27 - 30, 2011. All games will be at Arroyo Valley High School, 1881 West Baseline Street, San Bernardino. The purpose of the tournament has always been to provide constructive and positive activity for young people between Christmas and New Years, while showcasing some of the finest teams in the area. This year 16 teams from Apple Valley, Aquinas, Arroyo Valley, Barstow, Cajon, Fontana, Granite Hills, Kaiser, Las Vegas Centennial, Oak Hills, Pacific, Redlands, Redlands East Valley, Rialto, Summit and Verbum Dei high schools will participate. The tournament is structured as a community service project with profits, if any, returned to the community through many Kiwanis community service projects. This emphasis allows us to keep ticket prices stable from year to year at $5 per day for adults. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a responsible adult. A $15 tournament ticket is available allowing admittance to any and all games. The tournament represents aver 400 Kiwanian service hours each year. |
